Girls' World Exhibition with Melissa Ann Pinney!

Please Join us at Hofheimer Gallery (4823 N Damen Ave) for the opening of Melissa Ann Pinney and Judith Raphael’s exhibition “Girls’ World” from 5 to 8PM. There will be an Artist Talk on Saturday February 22nd from 2 to 3 PM with guest curator, Tony Phillips.
John Preus' ADAPTATION at The University of Chicago!

Join the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and the Smart Museum of Art in celebrating the opening of John Preus: Adapation, a site-specific installation at the Keller Center staging reclaimed furniture from closed public schools.
With Adaptation, Preus builds on his past work and a residency at the Smart in order to create a functional installation that will be activated by the staff, students, policy-makers and faculty at Harris in collaboration with community members, artists, architects, educators, and others. The opening reception will be from 4PM to 7PM.

Expo Chicago and CPS Lives present a discussion featuring artists Cecil McDonald Jr. and Melissa Ann Pinney, two residents within the CPS Lives program whose work explores the intersections of representation as part of their ongoing projects. The two artists will discuss their residencies and their results – images that explore identity and youth – that blur the lines between the artistic and the academic.
CPS Lives Critique & Conversation @ Filter Photo

Filter Photo will host CPS Lives this spring for critique and conversation. Join us as the CPS Lives photographers share with the larger Chicago photography community work-progress projects created between Chicago artists as residents in various Chicago Public Schools. CPS Lives artists will be sharing prints, videos, and digital projects of works in progress. Stop in to see what they’ve been working on and learn more about this city-wide project.
